VST SCAN NOT FINDING WAVES PLUGINS

For some odd reason, I don't have access to my waves plugins within sonar.  I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the waves command center twice.  No effect.  What's the folder that waves plugins are in?

Hi. Do you use Vst2, or Vst3?
Vst3's are in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
The Vst2's (even the) X64 are actually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\(Plug-Ins V9)
All the best.

I don't know if this will help....But, every once in a while I get an error message in Sonar saying that my waves licenses are not found. I have to shut down the computer, unplug my USB stick that has my licenses in it, then reboot and plug the USB stick back in. I don't have any problems after that. I'm on an offline computer though, so I don't know if what I've said matters at all. Good luck though.

I've had the occasional weirdness where WAVES will put my license in a strange place and so my plugins won't load.  Are you sure your licenses are where you want them?

You need to restart your computer for one thing. Do that if you haven't already.

If you have, go to windows Control centre>Programs and features and uninstall waves from there.
Go to C/:Users/your user name/App data/Local/Waves audio and delete the whole folder I'm not in front of my PC at the moment so I can't check but it could be the Local not roaming folder if there's no Waves audio folder in Roaming try Local and delete.
Then reinstall Waves and you should be righ to go. Take note to look out for instructions to reboot and do that if instructed to. Now you should be OK,

I had this issue.  Unfortunately I can't remember what I did to fix it but it was a simple fix.  Avoid renaming any of the Wave shell files and ensure you've added the VST3 directory where the shell file is located as one of the paths to scan.
