VST Scan - 20 minutes and counting scanning a single plugin
VST Scan has been stuck scanning "IDR Mono" (a Waves dithering plugin, I believe) for 20 minutes now. What could be causing this?

Hi. You do not have a hidden window behind SONAR, that is asking for Waves folder? I did when I first installed Waves via the new Waves central. Best of luck.

^^^This. Look in your task bar to see if there's a dialog that needs answering.

That's always the reason for my scanner getting stuck in 100% of cases. Hidden dialog behind the window which is waiting for a response....

My favorite is when you are just mucking about and you don't turn on your second monitor. You scratch your head wondering why things are not opening! THe dialog is on the other screen right where you tossed it the last time.

Several of us have had issue with scanning Waves since the last few updates. Move your Waves licenses to the cloud, uninstall all Waves, then use the new Waves Central to re-install all your licensed plugins. Lastly move your licenses back to the computer or dongle. HTH
