VST adapter - have to re-scan after update?

I've just updated the VST adapter to the latest version.. http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/kb2006928.asp

Do I have to do a rescan of all my plugs so the new adapter version will take effect (ie the latest fixes)?

Or can my scanned plugins remain as they are while the update VST adapter simply runs whenever I load P5v2?

    When the beta version expired I had a heck of a fun time w/my UAD plug ins freezing the adapter. Regardless, IIRC doesn't the adapter automatically rescan after the installation.

    It asks, I think, if you want to rescan.
    Yes..you need to rescan.
    And...good luck with that.

    when i read that P5 v2.5 would have VST integration, I thought "there is a god!"
