VST for dummies?

So nearly every plugin I got bundled with my Sonar Professional OR Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 seems to either not work for licensing reasons or crash my computer for the same cause I guess. Is there a tutorial to go through all your stuff you are supposed to have access to get it squared away?

Here are the plug-ins included with Sonar: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Plug-ins.1.html

and a KB article to help you locate them: https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013183/Missing-Plug-ins-Message-Cannot-insert-or-locate-VST-Plug-in

I would start by having only the path to your Cakewalk plug-ins in your VST Scan Folder, then add from there.

    Note the different paths:
    1. C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins = 64-bit (only works with Sonar 64-bit)
    2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins = 32-bit (works with Sonar 32-bit and 64-bit)

Thanks Telecharge. It seems like it is finding them, reports 185 found on scan. But if I try to use them it doesn't seem like the licenses registered.

At the very least you can verify your serial number and registration code.
