VST help update

Help, please! I have a VST I really like that shows up on the list in GTP 2 but won't show up on GTP 3. Tech support wants me to reinstall but I will loose a lot if I do. It scans OK in the VST adaptor. I will get the newest version of the adaptor but don't know if that will help. Any ideas wd be appreciated. Thanks!!
