VST issues with Guitar Rig/Waves

I've been running sonar 8.5 for a few years on my old PC with windows XP, using these same plugins with no issues whatsoever. I just bought a new computer and installed windows 7 64-bit and can't seem to get things running properly. Using both 32 and 64 bit installs of sonar 8.5.3, everytime the vst scan happens it freezes when it reaches the guitar rig or waves shell dll.

I was also unable to get my older copies of several VSTis (Garritan Personal Orchestra and Miroslav philharmonik) running under 64-bit sonar. I always get an error saying that the plugin wasn't installed right but they work in 32 bit mode with no problems.

I can just use the 32bit version for now so I have access to my VSTis, but I really need guitar rig and my waves plugins working

For Guitar Rig, run the Native Instruments Service Center and make sure you have the latest update to the version you have installed.
