VST only coming out of left speaker

hello, i'm having an odd problem out of nowhere. i'm using Sonar 7 XL, and the VST that is giving me problems is Novation's Bass Station. (before this gets addressed, both pieces of software are legal and paid for, so it's not a gimping issue).

basically, i was using the track effects for the bass station, and it stopped outputting from the right speaker. the drum VST is still in stereo, but nothing i can do will get the bass station back in stereo. i was auditioning effects when it happened, then when i couldn't figure out what the issue was i tried to re-open it without saving, and it's still doing it.

anyone have any ideas? both speakers are working perfect, and othe rtracks are still in stereo, but for some reason this one ceases to be.

thanks in advance!

::edit:: i think i know what has caused it, but i don't know how to fix it. i added a VST effect called Fuzzbox, and when i delete the effect it goes into mono. if i re-add the effect, it outputs in stereo again. it seems this is what caused the problem, but is there a solution?

I'm pretty sure that Bass Station is a mono VSTi. So if you set it up as a stereo instrument it will only output through the left.

Some effects will automatically convert mono signals to stereo. This seems to be the case with 'Bass Station to Fuzzbox'. (I'm only guessing since I don't have it).

Quick fix - Use Sonar 'channel tools' FX or equivalent.
Long fix - Insert Bass-Station VSTi with option "All synth audio output - Mono"
[It will create two mono audio tracks (left + right) then you can delete one]

Mono source, like guitar, vocal, bass etc. should normally be recorded on a mono track.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
