VST start up scan

I have X1b. I have the latest version of Waves (V8). Upon start up, the vst scan in X1 halts and displays the following message: transport::createuiworker: bitbridge.exe.  In the description (dialogue box) it says wavesdll.8 is missing. If I cancel  the scan and open X1 and then perform a vst scan, Waves is found and opens up no problem. This is an annoyance more than anything as I have been able to work around. Still, it seems like an issue that should be able to be resolved.

Thanks in advance-

You don't need to live through a re-scan every time you open Sonar.  In Preferences somewhere, under MIDI - there's a Global setting which defaults to having the VST folder re-scanned every time.  Un-check that so your VSTs are only scanned when you want/need.  Since that .dll is really there and working, chances are it'll work without more re-scanning every time.
