    Btw, I already reported a bug in sonar, with quite long vst plugin paths:

    If a path to a plugin dll within the plugin path is too long, sonar won't make the plugin available in its plugin menus...

    If this happens to you, simply create a junction to the appropriate "categories" folder of your sonar plugin path...

    Haven't got any reply from cakewalk on this. Bummer.

    just how long is the path to the dll?

    Windows has a Path+Filename limitation, for Win XP it is 255 characters, for Vista/Win 7 i believe it is 260 characters, if.. thats the issue here, simply shorten the path

    Didn't check. I believe it was a 128 chars limit...

    Another reason I do not allow audio programs to be installed in the (stupidly) default locations.

    Cakewalk shared content: C:\AudioCommon32, C:\AudioCommon64
     Non CW plugs: C:\AudioCommonOther

    Sonar install folder: C:\Sonar85, C:\SonarX1

    Other audio programs: C:\AudioPrograms
