VST3 Issue

Just loaded Sonar x3 Producer and had a little trouble. Nothing works under VST3 effects. If I try to select any dynamics I get a elicenser error. If I click on Reverb Sonar freezes. Should there be pre loaded effects here?

    SONAR does not have any VST3 effects. Is it possible the Cubase effects are locked to Cubase? Aside from that, when upgrading to X3 run the reset and rescan (although it will do nothing for effects locked to another DAW) see http://www.cakewalk.com/S...ommended-for-Upgraders

    So should nothing appear in the VST3 menu when first loading X3 Producer? After the error message it does give you the chance to remove them. Seems weird to have something appear there that will not work. I did do a rescan and I do not have Cubase but my interface is Steinberg.

    SONAR does not ship with any VST3 plug-ins except Melodyne Essential. If you have installed VST3 plug-ins they will get picked up during the VST scan. Rescanning is not the same as reset and rescan. Not having a Steinberg interface I am not sure what is bundled with it. Elicenser is Steinberg's software security system, it is both dongle and software based. It is possible some plug-ins were installed with the interface and they have not been activated?
