VSTi MIDI Out trouble

I am having trouble using VSTi synths, such as Kirnu, in Sonar Producer X1b (and recently updated hotfix 255).

Basically, If I create the VSTi synth with MIDI Out enabled, then assign that VSTi synth as the input to another MIDI track, that MIDI track does not receive the MIDI events output by the synth.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Is this a SONAR bug? According to the reference manual, this should work.

Thanks in advance for any help

Your in should be your controller on the midi track and your out should be Kirnu or your other Synths

Yes, I have one MIDI track with controller in and out to Kirnu. Kirnu indicates that it is receiving those MIDI events from my controller. Kirnu then outputs some appregiated MIDI events based on the input MIDI events. If I create another MIDI track and assign Kirnu as the input, that second MIDI track should get the MIDI events generated by Kirnu, but it doesn't seem to happen. This is the problem I am trying to solve.

Are you using the Synth Rack in Sonar?
