Extraordinary!

if you could travel back in time to when the original was written and slam that version on the desk at Abbey Road studios the guys would probably be scratching their heads asking what the # are they singing about...

Cool parody

I think the vocal and instrumental are good enough to go back and rerecord the original (exquisite) lyric and you would have a valid alternative version of this classic.

Cheers,

The Band19
Is this the new forum.cakewalk.daryl1968 forum? This one touches a nerve w/me as I've been fighting system issues for coming up on 4 weeks now and it's to the point where I may need a new mashing... It comes at some point I know? But I'm trying to hang on to 8.3 and XP32 like grim death. (I love my VSTs :-)

I thought the song wasn't half bad either, good job! After this weekend I'll know if my efforts have been in vane. Hoping to get everything back up and running on the failing (currently infected, soon to be scrubbed) HD, and once it's all patched up with new installs, AV, etc... Ghost it over to the newer more stable HD which will be C: and then I can stop Forum Monkeying around with system tech support for WEEKS at a time and get back to making muzak. Unfortunately my IT skills are like my mixing skills, sometimes it works? And sometimes you say "what were you thinking!?"

Given the troubles you've had Robbie/Robby/Rob you may be our entire fan base.

I do not have any recollection of why I very shabbily photoshopped Old55 into a newspaper article about Rob Ford - the Canadian mayor on crack - but there must have been a good reason.

Ah, yes, I miss good old Jan!  He was a really great guy and a dynamite keyboard player!

I remember having a few nice conversations with him in the Coffee House about sharing our experiences at the (in)famous Concert 10 two day rock festival at the Pocono Raceway, way back when, along with about 250,000 other people and lots of rain and mud!  Great time and lots of laughs!

Anyway, really funny song, guys, and also really well performed and produced.  Nice work!

Good stuff and good times!
Bob
