V-Studio 700 and X1
Hello everyone ! I am new to all this so please bare with me. I am a VS-700 and Sonar X1c owner, and I was wondering if anybody knows if there are any videos that use the VS-700 and X1 together in action? Thanks for your time.

Good question... haven't seen any but haven't looked for a while either.... would be nice to see a new version of the project Brandon did a while ago. That was quite useful.

Thanks for the response Mully...I wouldn't mind seeing a new version of that either. All the vids I seem to be able to track down using X1, only deal with a qwerty keyboard and short-cuts, which are great and informative. It would be nice to see a VS-700-X1 video.

Yeah +1 for sure. The workflow is quite different in X1 & to be honest, I find myself using the keyboard a lot more now than I did in Sonar 8.... screen sets for example... was only thinking last week that it would be nice to have at least a numeric keyboard on the 700C. The one thing IMO that will keep PT market share dominant is the incredible surfaces they also make available. The 700C is fantastic but tends to keep your studio more at the project size level I believe... which for me, is fine. However a broader range of surfaces and desks would take this package to 'the next level'. Cheers!

So I guess I should draw an outline and make a video What would you like to see? Maybe I could do some short info vids for youtube or something. Not sure if I want to take on recording a whole project and film it. I mean I don't want to do a basic video- inserting a track, saving, markers and such. What would help you the best? A friend of mine was blown away with the +8 -8 buttons where I could control the tracks very easy for mixing and adjusting. Just asking for a little input.

I reckon it'd be good to see others workflow... how YOU go about setting up basic tracking layouts etc.... maybe a quick basic mix. Anything similar to what Brandon had originally done as I'm always interested to see other processes in the hope I learn something new. Cheers!
