V-Vocal Delete Track Question

Probably a simple solution here...when I delete a V-Vocal clip in X2, I'm left with the original track clip denoted with a red "NO" circle (next to the original clip name in upper part of waveform)...and NO AUDIO WILL PLAY. For the life of me I cant figure out how to just delete the V-vocal clip and have the original return to normal. Is there a way to remove V-vocal clip and simply revert back to original audio file as if V-vocal was never inserted? This condition arises when I "remove V-vocal" from clip. Thanks.

I would say the clip with a red no circle is muted, either use the k key (while the said clip is selected) or the mute tool to unmute it
