my vx64 does not work
it has a glitch
it use to work just fine
now I have to reboot sonar plat
to get it to work
any ideas

This has happened to me and been reported to Cakewalk. However, it doesn't happen all the time. IIRC there's some mode that makes it more likely to do this - I forget if it's dragging from the browser, or ctrl-dragging from another track, or inserting via the insert menu.
Usually if I toggle FX on and off by typing "E", the problem goes away and I can carry on. After it works, save the project...that seems to make it come back properly but I can't guarantee anything, because it's intermittent.

I had VX 64 on Sonar Professional. I used it all the time. After taking the computer to the shop I had to reinstall Sonar Professional. Now it is not there. Does anyone know why this is? I want it back. It wasn't just on Platinum. I had it on Professional.
I also had Breverb and now it has gone since reinstalling. How can I get this back also. Can anyone advise please.

Yea, it should have been a separate post. Please do so in the future. WRT the missing plug-ins, they are not part of Professional. They are part of the Producer/Platinum series refer to the comparison chart to see what is included with Professional. To get the missing plug-ins back run an advanced install of X3 Producer or older (or the appropriate Platinum installer if you have it). If you have Platinum, why not use it instead of Professional?
