VX-64 Vocal Strip Changes Presets

I didn't see anyone else with this problem, but if it's already been addressed, please show me where!
 
It seems that my VX-64 plugin likes to randomly change presets.  I generally start with one that sounds close and I'll tweak the EQ, Compander, etc. to the needs of the vocalist and song.  Sometimes (frequently!) it just randomly changes that preset to another one.  Of course that means I lose all my tweaks and suddenly the track sounds really weird.  When does it do it?  It varies.  Stopping playback, starting playback, rewinding, switching tracks, saving the file, taking a sip of water... any of these and others might (but not always) cause it to suddenly change presets.  It's not always the same preset, for example, it's not the next one on the list.  It appears to be random.
 
Of course I can save the instrument when I get it where I want it, then reload when it changes presets, but I should *have* to do that, right?
 
I'm using Sonar X3 and VX-64 version 1.0.3.
