Valhalla Room

I finally bought this plug and I'm over the moon with it....just the sound I had in mind for my electronic tracks. It really is an amazing reverb.

Does anyone here own the Vallhalla Vintage Verb?

Amazing isn't it? I haven't tried the vintage one because I'm almost sure I won't be able to not buy it on the spot once I hear it, and the last thing I need is another reverb.

I've demo'd the vintage and I love it...    Its on my 2013 list, with a zillion other things...   most of them bills, and not music related..  sigh..

yes, playing with the new beta, a new plate inspired algorithm is being added. There is a lengthy thread at kvraudio about VVV with a bunch of demo tunes. There are user presets for several Valhalla effects at kvraudio in the ValhallaDSP forum.

Going to demo it tomorrow. From the sound of things, if I get that, and eventually Shimmer, those 3 reverbs will do me for the rest of my life

Incidentally, has anyone tried the free Freq Echo plug? It's lots of fun if you're into that sort of thing, and I'm finding it useful as a "crescendo" effect to join two pieces of an EDM track that I previously couldn't fit together.

I love this guy's GUI as well. Makes all the "real" looking interfaces seem so 5-years-ago.

FreqEcho may be 64bit soon. I have enjoyed playing with the all of the ValhallaDSP line. The Vintage Verb and Ubermod are my favorites.

sharke, consider getting Sean's UberMod effect next instead. I passed on the Vintage Reverb because it's too similar to VRoom, and I just don't agonize over reverb subtleties. I've yet to encounter a situation where I didn't think VRoom was adequate.

UberMod, however, is an entirely different animal. It's pretty cool on electronic pads and leads, as well as guitar. I've even used it for special effect on drums and vocals. It can either add subtle depth and movement or over-the-top psychedelic mangling.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Looking at UberMod now, sounds great, can't wait to demo it when I get home!
