"Valse no.1" by the artist formally known as morenoise

Hi All, I don't think the "morenoise" monniker is appropriate anymore, as it was 30 years ago ; ). So the artist formally known as morenoise, proudly presents a little latin inspired waltz, have a listen if you like :

Regardless of your moniker, you make some of the best music on this forum, and  this piece is no exception.  And, if you want your post count to climb, just keep producing music like this.

Sound fine, and perhaps another reflective mood song for today. A quiet day then.

    Hey Rik,

Even if you didn't mention the forum name change, I would have recognized your "trademark" haunting guitar sound and beautiful playing anyway.

Excellent, very tasty playing, and great job capturing that gorgeous guitar sound!

    Best wishes,

Hmm... I'm sure someone else has recorded and posted a version of this ;-)

As commented before - this is marvellous, exquisite playing and a very reflective piece.

    Cheers,

    Hi Rik,

This is absolutely beautiful, man. Lovely playing and fantastic touch and tone.

I always liked the name 'morenoise' because it was the complete opposite of what your music is about

But, either way, just keep writing and recording those beautiful tunes!

So no more morenoise, oh well at least you are still delivering beautiful classical peice's.

There is so little I can add, you always put up beautiful peice's that are played and recorded well.

But if there is anything I can do, it is listen and tell you how much I appreciate talent like yours.

i'm new here so this is a first listen to your art. thought it might be a guitar interpretation of chopin op. 69#1. anyway 'morenoise' indeed is not the moniker that comes to mind ;p . can only ditto all the above sentiments and can add that your musicianship is beyond impressive and your styling/cadences/flamenco/latin influence is tasteful and seasoned and in command of tone. very passionate and alive in its soothing application and gentle envelope. truly impressed.  wish i could play like you do

Hi Daren, thanks for listening and the kind words. It's not an interpretation of Chopin, but thanks very much for the comparison : ).   I may have "borrowed" this from somewhere, although I don't know where from, hence the generic title "Valse no.1".

I totally agree with Lynn and all the other comments here. It isn't just the exquisite technical skill. It is the depth of feeling you create with your music. Such emotion, such heart, such soul. Perfection.

Hi John, thanks, I guess it's the very close micing, 3 inches, that does that.
