Vaporware Vol. 1 ( House / Deep House with a splash of Detroit thrown in )

Hey all,

My latest release, and first on Vaporware, is finally up on Soundcloud :

http://soundcloud.com/vaporware-records

I know it won't be to the taste of a lot of people on here, but any feedback would be appreciated whether it's good or bad.

Horizon is the more laid back out of the 3 tracks.

Horizon (Midnight Mix) is darker / deeper in sound than the original. Kind of a Deep House / Detroit crossover.

22 Again is the kind of track I'd have bopped along to in clubs during the mid 90's. More of a typical US house sound to it.

And thanks to Soundcloud for the occasional glitch in thier mp3 conversion, which isn't present in the .wav file. I'll know next time at least. Grrr.

Hi MoodyB, I don't follow this kind of music so I am sorry.  The sounds are all good but much of it sounds like it came from canned patterns already.  Not enough uniqueness to keep me interested.  Can melody lines be put on top of the grooves?  Anyway, technically really good.

This would make a great workout tune.  Like Rimshot said, it repeats itself over and over, so it's not so interesting to listen to, but it does make the body move.

    Thanks for the replies.

Rimshot : Most dance/house music is fairly repetitive, so that's why it sounds like canned patterns. And also because that seems to be my writing style. Melody lines might come later as I expand my writing style / techniques, and learn to play the keyboard properly

Thanks also for the comment on the technical side of things as they are the first tracks done solely 'in the box' in X1, on my own.
Lynn : if any of them made your feet shuffle a bit then they're doing their job

I like it. This is the kind of music that I can let roll in the background with its up-tempo and it keeps me moving. Regards, Lance
