Various problems with CWGP4.0.5

Various problems with CWGP4.0.5

VS-20 doesn't show in console view.
VST scan option greyed out in Plugin Manager.
VST and VSTi list <<no entries>> in Plugin Manager.
External run of Plugin Manager recognises and seems to process VSTs OK but not available in Plugin Manager.
When attempting to insert a listed plugin (eg CW Reverb), "plugin missing or not installed properly".
Boost 11 not listed, Guitar Rig 3 not listed...
I have redownloaded 4.0.5 and installed but no difference.
Any ideas? Thanks

I'm a guitarist, not a scientist, recording audio/midi via SONAR Platinum.
Win7 x64, i7, Focusrite Saffire Pro40, A-500 Pro, 12GB RAM, 2.9GHz

    Note: My signature lists a different setup. For GP, I use XPsp3 32bit
