V-drum with Kontakt doesnt work?

i mean:
my friend recorded a midi track with his v drum TD3, he sended it to me.
i tried his midi track with superior drummer 2, bfd2 etc to see which would be the best sound.
but when i try with studio drummer (kontakt) abbey road (kontakt) or anything else (kontakt). his midi track wont work at all.
but if i try with anything else (midi tracks) on kontakt. it work.

anyone ? 1rst time i see that.
foot controller? cc4?
i removed it. still same problem.
i even just copy pasted ONE single midi point from his midi track.
still wont work lol but if i make a point by myself it work lol really strange. piss me off.

Sorry for being obvious, but yjust to confirm: it's not a mapping issue, is it?

What do you mean by "won't work at all"? No meter activity? Meter activity but no sound?

This one is unclear to me: "...but if i try with anything else (midi tracks) on kontakt. it work."
Do you mean other than drum-libraries in Kontakt using the same MIDI-track or the mentioned libraries with another MIDI-track?

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

i'm using kontakt 5 abbey road drummer in combination with roland v-drums td-20x and it does work nicely. you can even play that sample libraries in real time from the kit.

however, first i had tried to set it up inside kontakt 5, but that was a dead end street as i could not get it to work properly (save/restore somehow seemed to lose my settings) and every abbey road drum module uses a different set-up anyway. a lot of work for little output.

the solution is to create a sonar drum map, which is BTW much easier to accomplish than adjusting the settings inside kontakt and that also allows you to change from v-drums to kontakt by just swapping the drum map ... quite nice

let us know if you need help with setting up drum maps, but there are a couple threads on that out there ...

looks like your friend recorded his drums on a diff midi channel. click a note in his track and then set kontakts input to that channel.

    FYI:

At the top of Kontact's Multi-Rack window, towards the right, there is a scroll icon that lets you see global plug ins.  Click that and turn on the the Preset->Factory->Utilities->MIDI Monitor.  That will let you see exactly what is being passed to Kontakt.

Don't ask the question if you cannot live with the answer.
