Vegas tragedy

A female performer at the Cirque du Soleil in Vegas died in an accident this weekend. I've sent Rain a pm and I hope he surfaces soon with good news. I'm really worried.

Regards, John

Already discussed in one of his threads.  It wasn't someone they knew, though they've seen the show (KA).  First accidental death on stage in their 30 year history.

Having seen several shows live, and a bunch more on video.... it is an amazing record to have no deaths in that time. Those folks work high up, move fast, and are totally amazing at what they do.

That's a relief. I'm so glad it wasn't Mrs. Rain.

I thought the same thing, hope it wasn't Rain's wife.

I saw Michael Jackson's, "One", 4 weeks ago when I was out there and the acrobatics are unbelievable at these shows.

Thanks guys. We're still in a bit of a shock out here, waiting to know exactly what happened and how it could happen.

Yea...I saw the news blurb when it first happened and was going to post...but was just to fearful it might be Rain's wife.  Or, if not, someone they were well acquainted with.  Horrible tradgedy but so thankful you're not directly impacted Rain, ol pal.  You and the missus are in such a happy place...and the world needs more of that.

Wow, I've been out of the loop recording some guitar all evening - I just finished, switched on the TV, and the news of this tragedy was mentioned on the BBC news.

I instinctively came straight here to the CH, hoping that this had nothing to do with our good friend.

As has been mentioned, it's a terrible thing that's happened, but I'm so relieved that nothing had befallen Krist's family.

It is interesting how we all thought the same thing. I checked the CH on my phone while I was at work.

I do feel very sad for the family of the performer who fell. What a tragedy.

Yeah...  It's going to be very hard on those two young children (5 and 8 I think it said).

Thanks guys. It's quite heart-warming to realize how much people here in the CH care, the number of people who checked in and inquired and PM'ed me.

You guys are the best, really. :)
