That shootout just reinforces my belief that once you reach a certain level of quality, products in that class are pretty much interchangeable, sound-wise. Ergonomics and efficiency become the primary distinguishing factors. No doubt Pro-R will do well in both categories, as all FF products do. But once you've climbed the learning curve for your tool of choice, ease-of-use becomes a non-issue. Pick one you're comfortable with and be happy. 


All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I don't know Bit, the UAD sounded purty sweet(er) to my ears. Just a little more transparent. 
 
That said, the UADs were lower in volume so maybe that had something to do with it as I had to concentrate harder on the tails. 
 
I still haven't found a verb that sits as well as my old/broken/dead lexicon hardware unit I had.

Go check Pro-R's EQ-on-Decay. Don't know if you'll want to go back.
