Victory!

Finally we took the second win on the most important song contest. Wait. That was just a dream. I must confess that when I heard that Finland did not get to the second semifinal on the Eurovision thingy I laughed😇. I don't know exactly why, but probably partly because I kind of expected it. The song sounds just fine but it is a bit melancholic and a perhaps a bit boring although many like that kind of stuff too. One expert said that the big mistake Finland did again was we did not include big show elements (like dancing frogs) and all that kind of funky stuff people like these days. Did someone hear and see the show and if so what did you think about the Finland's show and song and what do you think about the Eurovision contest in general?

It's supposed to be a song contest but it mostly who can put on the biggest spectacular or the stupidest gimmick or the bushiest beard...  the song is irrelevant.

Thank you for your comment. I think you are in the right direction although some say also politics play a far too big part in these games. There should be made some big changes in the contest so that only the song and to a smaller extent the show part would matter, but it seems there is no interest in any countries to actually start talking about it. Moral corruption I think is the trend here. There has luckily been some good winners like Abba's Waterloo although it is ages ago.

People often get Australia confused with Austria.

Judging by each's affection for sheep, you'd think New Zealand was next to Wales.
