Re:Video editing software for adding Sonar songs to YouTube

There are a bunch of what use to be (might be a little more now like $60) $50 programs or the next step around $100 programs that work for video. The difference usually is High Definition (seems to be the norm now) and other options and codecs for video production. Although I do not know all the codecs lately like AAC or something like that, I have used lossless variable rate codecs because constant bit codecs are like a *.mp3 file, and some want like $5 for adding *.mp4 or so codecs, which does not really give what the music or sound will be like in a video, and hides what the bit-rate is. Of course I guess if you pay more then you will get more, but even with the 48kHz playback and 24-bit sound you can play back with in like Windows Media Players new versions is that video is still not really as good. But lossless get close to 44kHz - 16-bit sound and that can be seen with Windows Media Player - Properties when playing a movie or sound file and all of that at what it was made at. With Windows Movie Maker, it changes and only a few codecs are given. Ah, the resolution has gone up also to like 1920x1200 resolution, but usually on Utube and them maybe only wanting certain sizes I cut my down anyway. -------------------------------------------------------------- Only problem is that I can not move my Magix Movie Edit 16 ($50) program I bought to my new computer. I can install it, but it also had a patch come out later, and when I try that, it says that serial number and such is already registered for that software. Well, ya, it's on my old computer since I am the one that registered it, so either I can use it without the patch on the new one or buy a newer version of the software. Can't transfer between computers anymore, which to me kind of is bad, but then I have not bought other companies' movie editors so I do not know everyone. Have to look it up on reviews or something. ---------------------------------------------------------------- All I know is that I would need a new camera anyway (HD) then my old camera, because Sony did not upgrade their capture software and that program only works with XP, and newer cameras work by not composite capturing but by firewire type separating signals or something that makes me either having to get a newer camera (mine is getting old though and new ones are much better) or buying a card and cable that can be used in the newer versions of like even Windows Movie Maker or any other video software. -------------------------------------------------------------- Still utube will not stream movies over 192kBits (or like a *.mp3 file anyway and the movie has to be above a certain resolution for them to use the top rate they will allow anyway.----------------------------------------------------- Same way with any place that will stream music unless you allow the music to be downloaded say in a *.wav file where you hear it like a CD would be. ---------------------------------------------------------------Hope this makes sense, but still making a movie you have to use a video codec, and to me since I have to make movies usually in *.wmv windows type stuff where I know the codec I can use, it ends up being lossless variable bitrate instead of a like *.mp3 type constant bitrate because it just sounds better.----------------------------------------------------- As usual, nothing is ever that good unless you spend thousands of dollars perhaps in equipment in the first place.
