    Hi,

Sounds real nice. The intro and solo and outro are a bit simple though, but your singing makes it al worth while to listen. Specially the chorus. Maybe doubling your first voice in the verse can make your voice a bit more stronger there. Nice clean mix.

It has that sort of Oasis/Brit pop thing going on, mix works well here, the video was a bit different to.  Thanks for sharing.

I didn't read any of the previous comments.

Good sound on this -- well mixed and everything is clear.  The song is very much from the Oasis template so I had an idea -- instead of the organ sound on the intro and between verses/chorus why not have a crunchy guitar line?   Just a thought.  :)

I liked it, really nice song.  Well mixed.  I've never really listened much to Oasis, so if this is similar, I may have to check them out.

really nice! I loved that guitar when it came in for the prechorus!

I'm listening on cheap earbuds on an ipad - which is one of my "listening media" to help me check my mixes.  to me when the guitar comes in at the prechorus, it's just a tad hotter than I'd like to hear there, then when the full chorus the lead vocals get buried behind everything else.  there's one point I can't tell what you're singing at all.

just some thoughts.  take em or leave em.  nice song and great performances!

Really good/catchy song Andrew and a very clear/clean mix (listening on H-phones). I would've like to hear the vocals/BGV a bit louder.....other than that, great job you did on this!!

(A funny little observation on the video: at the start of the video, the keyboard player was playing some high notes in the lower section and the same high notes on different keys....).

Yeah, sounds good here - good straight-head rock mix with a live studio feel.   I definitely agree with the Oasis reference, both in the music and voice.

About the only nit I have is that some of the video shots don't really line up with the parts you've played.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I get the similarity to Oasis all the time, I suppose it's ingrained in me, first album I bought was 'Definitely Maybe' when I was 13 and have everything they released since and have seen them each time they played in Ireland so they are a heavy influence, maybe a bit too much. LOL. With regards the video, I see you guys have some Eagle eyes, I did the video in an afternoon with my camcorder in the studio and windows movie maker, my next attempt will hopefully be a bit more proffesional, but I like the whole idea of low budget and independent so I never want to be too flashy. Thanks again for listening and I hope to hear some of your guys stuff as I hope to become more active in this part of the forums.

Your vocals remind me of Oasis, a little, and I'll bet you get that a lot.  You have your own flavor, of course.

Man, I really liked the verses and the main chord progression but, in my humbled opinion of course, it all goes south during the bridge and chorus.  You're a bit pitchy, or maybe it's just too dry but when you're holding out your notes during the bridge I cringed a little.  The chorus was sung well, but it's forgettable.  I just got done listening to it two minutes ago and I can't even remember the chorus.

I hope that doesn't hurt your feelings.  I don't mean to be an ****, just trying to be honest.  If people were honest with me 30 years ago I would have concentrated more and expected more out of myself when writing.

And, of course, I'm just one jack-off in the world.  If plenty of people dig this tune, then who cares what I say? Right? Good luck, regardless.  You're talented, and again, I really liked the main chord progression and if it came on the radio, I would turn it up out of interest.

This is almost done, very nice job! Songwriting is solid, good tune writing and clean structure. Excellent!

I'm bugged that your verses and the pre-chorus ("got nowhere to run") both end the exact same way, on the same notes and the same C#sus chord. I wanted the pre-chorus to end on a different pitch. For example, why not go up to F (Leading tone) at "nowhere to run"?

I also agree that the intro and especially the little interlude with the organ kind of lets all the energy drain away. Maybe adding something more exciting in there to keep things afloat until the verse comes around again?

Here's my big criticism, though: I don't think your video is doing you any favors at all. The song is so much better than the video. I actually like the song better when I'm not looking at the screen. I found that as soon as I looked back at it, my estimation of what I was hearing went down. Weird effect. And it doesn't take eagle eyes to notice that the keyboard part in the video is NOT WHAT I'M HEARING! That bugs the crap out of me. Also, an unintented giggle happened because it looks like the keyboard readout says "Poo". :-)
