Video glitches...

I haven't had a ton of time inside X3 yet.. but mainly just noodling around and trying to load some old projects (from X2).. and noticed that if I move my mouse a bit or do some other stuff during "playback" I notice the "NOW TIME" marker scrolling across the project stutters and pauses and then catches up where it's supposed to be. The audio is NOT affected.. just the on screen location of the "needle."
 
Is there a setting somewhere I can fix this??  I did NOT have this problem before X3.
