Videocard upgrade?

Is there any point in upgrading my videocard? My system runs good but the videocard is ****ty. Would a better videocard affect the Sonar software in any way? Thanks.

It could. Is your current video card set for Performance in Windows?? That be one step, unless it is a built-in one from Intel and they usually just are bad. I use a Geforce myself and it is not the fastest but works fine with 24", 1920x1200 monitor.

Sonar doesn't need much of a video card to work fine. I have a basic $50.00 fanless 128Meg card in my daw (27" monitor - max res.) Looks great, works great. Never one issue with it. If you're running video in your projects, then that's an entirely different scenario.
