Virtual Controller not listed in MIDI input Manage Presets

It doesn't appear you can choose the Virtual Controller in the MIDI inputs presets dialog.  It only lists MIDI devices setup in the MIDI devices Preferences panel.  Which doesn't include or list the Virtual Controller.  As a result it appears it is impossible to setup a MIDI input preset that can take both your real MIDI keyboard and the Virtual Controller.  Is there some way to hack this?  I went to update my templates this morning to add in the Virtual Controller only to find it's not possible.  I'd think Cakewalk would want to do this.
