Virtualizing your Sonar DAW?

Just curious, has anyone tried running Sonar X2 or X1 on a virtual machine?

I would expect there would be a performance hit but I wonder if it would be a deal breaker? I've been considering changing my home network into a virtual network but the thought of virtualizing my DAW holds me back..

Has anyone tried this?

Sonar X1 Expanded PE 64 bit
Intel i7 2600k oc'd, 16Gb DDR3 RAM, intel 320 SSD OS drive, 7200RPM HDDx2, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit VS 100, Tascam US-2000, UAD2 - Izotope, Fabfilter, NI Komplete 7/Kore2 & +, Spectrasonics+

Nope I don't seriously consider using a VM. VM technology is more for taking advantage of under used machines. No DAW is under used in any measurable way when working with digital audio. RAM, Processing, IO, all peg and end up as bottlenecks for most of us at one point or another. Be sweet to dedicate a clustered rac to your daw tho. That's an interesting thought. What could you do with 10 clustered machines?
