Vista 64 & Rapture - Match made in Heaven NOT!!

I have scanned the Forums for Rapture and Vista 64 Threads and it seems some people have found a way to get Rapture to work in Vista 64 (In 32 Bit Mode). I tried copying from my Windows XP Boot and doing the registry trick as suggested by Chuck (I think?) But still no joy.

Has Cakewalk actually responded to anyone about this?? I find if they don't know the answer or they don't feel like it they won't respond and it will get swept under the mat like all the other Bugs.

Windows 7 Professional  64 bit - Intel Q-9550 2.83 CPU, 8Gb DDR800, Gigabyte EP35-DS3R, M-Audio Delta 44, Yamaha HS-80M Monitors, UAD-1 Ultra Pack

I initially had trouble with this also.

I now run the 64bit Sonar as Administrator (right-click icon). This solved it for me.

If you haven't tried this it is worth a shot.

Also, ensure you have all updates for Rapture (I have not installed updates to Sonar 8 yet).

if you mean can you install Rapture x32 on Vista x64 easily yet, the answer is no. I've been waiting more than a year for this problem to be fixed. I mean, how long does it take to copy the installer code over from zeta or Dpro, which let you choose?

Cake acknowledges the issue, but has not acted on it. Only v1 works as 32bit in Win x64.

Another example of Cakewalks "Don't give a damn attitude" They sent me instructions on how to make it work, but sadly that didn't work either, but then the instructions were a little bit vague to say the least.

I can't get Rapture to work in 32Bit mode under Vista 64, others do so why not Rapture??? It's not a case of I don't know what I'm doing either.

Here's a product you pay good money for that doesn't work.
