Vista Mackie Onyx Satellite

Howdy All...

I've searched the forum first...
perhaps I'm not searching correctly...

QUESTION:

Vista and the Mackie Onyx Satellite... is it a BAD or impossible dream?
The few articles I discovered seem mixed and in fact do not paint a very good picture at all!

I've got a Dell XPS 1530
T7500 Dual Core 2.2ghz
Vista Home premium
4gbRAM

I only need a 2 input audio interface as the unti is primarily for field work but I'm finding I should start working with the 64 bit features... so I dove in!

We replaced an Inspiron E1505 that did a decent job of field audio capture for tv spots using Audition 1.5 and an M Audio Mobile pre... Not the finest I know but it did a good job...

So what would YOU recommend?
(colonics aren't going to help so forget that)

    Hello Roy,

According to this LINK it is for now, no Vista drivers are available from Mackie.

I have great success with MOTU units (and they have Vista drivers) But you have heard me say that before Maybe you can do a trade up for a MOTU unit. Hint Hint

    Thanks for the info...
I suspected I had not researched the database properly...
I'll look even more closely next time though...

    Thanks
