Vista Performance

Yes I know I should never have moved on from XP

Anyone have tip or links for tuning the Vista OS to gain maximum performance for music. I used to be able to run XP with about ten tracks and 5ms latency, now I'm getting three/four tracks at a push before the latency pops kick in.

Disable the fancy gui and go with the classic look. Make sure there is plenty of RAM. Turn off all unnecessary background services. It really is not much different than XP--that is to say, the same tweaking principles apply.
