Volume and pan controls have no effect on a midi track import (Superior Drummer + Ezy Play

Hi there
 
I have been creating drum tracks using Ezy Player (Superior Drummer 2) - then importing the recorded song as one midi file into my drum track in Sonar X1.
 
It plays fine but the pan controls and volume controls have no effect. Can someone tell me how to fix this??
