Volume sliders working funny

Hi.
Since I got my 4K monitor, my volume sliders work funny. After a little tweak they jump ether to zero or to max. Is there a workaround for this?

The slider does this when I drag the slide back an foreword and it made cakewalk crash today too. Do you guys think I need to report this or is there something I can do? Some fix on the way?

It sounds like you have some volume automation going on inadvertently

It might also be worthwhile checking/changing your Windows display size: Control Panel > Display, particularly if you're not using a standard size.

I was using 150% size. And tried it at 100%. Then the problem was gone. But the problem is that everything gets really small. It’s a reason the standard size is 150%.
I will test it more later. This was just a little test. Opening the program and moved the faders like crazy.
Sorry I don’t know the English names of the settings. I use a Norwegian windows 8.1 update 1.

Cool, at least you know the cause!

Does 125% work any better for you?

The same problem I guess. I will test this further tomorrow. Its soon bedtime here in Norway.
Could it be that sonar have problem with position of the mouse when screensize is out of the screens native resolution?

I'm not really sure, but I was pretty sure I've come across this before...

Ok. I have found a workaround, i klick on the slider and then use + and - to adjust the fader. It works fine, but it only goes on whole numbers. So its not something for mixing.

Perhaps it's your mouse. Seriously. The left button on my mouse is going bad, and sometimes it gives a spontaneous double-click. If that happens while on the volume fader, it resets the fader to zero. I thought of this possibility when you said that a workaround was to use the keyboard instead of the mouse.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

The thing it doesn't get is fast movement of sliders. And I guess since thing is so small on 4K screens the movements gets faster. It seems as it give up on finding where to stay and jump to max or zero. I tried some settings with another mouse and the normal one, and the only thing that makes it work is to move the sliders slow. So. Is this a program crash in cakewalk or in windows? I don't se this problem outside Sonar.

Just change your screen resolution. Adjust it so it makes everything bigger.

That will solve your small problem. That doesn't sound right!!

Well. I always could do that. But what's the point with 4K monitor? It is 28" by the way. If you can't use it with its native resolution. In 150%, windows doesn't just make the dots bigger. The dots is the same size. So its using larger icons to do the same thing. More information in the same place. And then they are better to look at.
I could of corset turn this on and of every tome I use sonar, but are sonar then really windows compatible? This is just quick fixes. They are great. And I can use then for now. But there should be a better fix than not being able to use my monitor as it is made. I hope I didn't offend anyone.
