WASAPI scan

I'm a diehard ASIO user but I wanted to check out WASAPI. When CbB scanned for interfaces it found my ol' Layla but only recognized 48K output. It recognized *no* inputs. (Layla does up to 192K.) The scan did not find my Tascam interface at all. It did find my onboard sound which I use for playing .mp3's etc. outside of Cake. (Obviously don't want 'em in Cake.) I used WDM back in the PA9 days and I remember scans finding everything just fine. WASAPI is totally unusable. What gives?

WASAPI is half the quality of your real ASIO driver so there's no point in using it with an interface that has a good drivers already. It's only really meant to be used when you don't have an interface.

I know, Johnny... just curious, yunno? I'm firmly on ASIO and it's solid.
