WAV and FLAC files in the DP samples folder. Why the change?

Been keeping all the samples in the same folder structure since the beginning.

The DP folder began with DP LE, and now DP Pro, and all the packs.

At some point some of the files that come with the DP install were change from WAV to FLAC format. It appears the FLAC files are smaller.

The latest pack are in WAV format.

Now I have many dups.

Just curious about the reason for the change.  Size? Quality? Control?

???

It supports both, but FLAC are compressed using a lossless compression scheme so they take up less space.  Quality between FLAC and WAV should be identical.  To eliminate duplicates you'd need to see which multisamples are referenced by which .sfz files so you don't remove something needed.  I suppose the duplicates come from upgrading versions of Dimension over time...
