WAVES Abbey Road

Over the years I've bought the Abbey Road plugs up to J37 and do like them a lot, but never bothered to check out the latest ones (Reverb Plates, EMI) ... now there is Vinyl ...

Vinyl is on sale and this is truly tempting (thanks, ZO for the video!)
EMI looks like YACE (yet another channel emulation), but I'd be happy to hear comments
Reverb Plates ... ditto, pls share view & experiences

I know I could demo, but my system is currently frozen (definitely beyond black Friday)

Just tried the "Upgrades" option on the WAVES pages and they quote me $478 to upgrade to the bundle (which DOES NOT look like a good deal to me) ... do you think Reverb Plates will go on sale?

Waves does sales all the time, you just need to be patient and check their monthly and weekendly deals.

My middle name. Or my first.
Bapuji, your six last posts were so helpful, I had to click 'em all.
But I digress and confess, B-dad's left field is my mid, side and center. Piano (acoustic or electric) and reverb.
Last name and motto: garbage in, reverbage out.
Skanky

I'm still not sure 40+ reverbs are enough.

Fleer says I need Pro-R and Adaptiverb or summat like that.

To the OP, I really like the TG12345 console emulator and the ADT. The ADT can be used as intended but will yield some very cool effects. The TG console is great but not in the least intuitive. You have to read the manual.

I borrowed a book that covered all the Abbey Road gear used by the Beatles. Hardcover, about 3 in. thick. The TG console is modelled so well, that I could go through the book and use it as an instruction manual for the plug in. It had all the hardware waves has modelled. I'll have to find out the title, but as I recall, it cost my friend about $200. The book is made to look like a container of 2 in. tape, very cool.

EMT 140 is just about the most special one to me.

But I do like most of the others.

Some I rarely use. Mostly the ones that are on a ride along (you know, in the bundle).
