WEIRD Sonar MIDI problem

I was assigning a MIDI controller in Sonar Artist and guess i touched
the G2 key (only thing i can think of) - NOW Sonar won't recognize
note on from G2 - i can transpose my MPK61 & it does it up and down keyboard!
- works fine on standalone VST's - REASON - LIVE
- ONLY Sonar Artist!!!
ideas?

Have you assigned the key in "ACT MIDI" / "Generic Control" Control Surface plug-in?
It can be that some buttons also send "Note On" events, so clashing with normal keys.

Also, there is a method for MIDI keyboard shortcuts that can dedicate one MIDI key as a shift key. Look in Edit->Preferences->Customization - Keyboard Shortcuts. At the top, if MIDI shortcuts are enabled, and the "MIDI shift option" is the G2 key, that prevents the note from playing from the keyboard.
