WHY "FIX" WHAT AIN'T BROKE?

Why would ANYONE want to "fix" how users have input, and edited MIDI for 25 yrs.  I've been using CW since DOS 5.0, and editing in the Event List has ALWAYS been the same CUZ IT IS INTUITIVE!  You click on the value, and change it!  What could be simpler?  So, while you could have been making things better, or easier, or rolled a new product out sooner, you HAD to go screwing around with something that had NOTHING wrong with it.  I've tried for hours to find a NORMAL way to input, and edit simple MIDI parts; whether on Piano Roll, Step Seq, or Event List.  I don't know how it happened, but I was finally able to make some values change buy sliding my mouse up and down.  NOT FUN!!  Further, and this is REALLY STUPID!  You've changed from the MIDI protocol of 128 steps to 100 so now there isn't any 1-to-1 ratio of knowing how loud a velocity is.

Just swallow your pride, and admit you screwed up, and at least offer old, and VERY LOYAL users the option to do things the LOGICAL "Classic" way, not your cutesy, tootsey "New & Improved" way.

Uh...you could have been a little more respectful about it. I understand that you're having trouble with it, but your method of conveying that message could use some work.

It's hard to understand anything you're saying when you don't even explain what kind of editing you tried to do here.. Instead of sitting for hours with a problem, just press F1 in any window you're in to get help about this or explain your problem here, but in a way so we can understand.. :/

Where do you edit your MIDI to only get 100 step velocity?! I edit MIDI daily and have NO idea what you're talking about..

King Conga, something must be screwed up on your system. I edit MIDI all the time in the PRV and event list with no problem. In edit mode I just click on the value that I want to change, press delete, then input my new data. I can also edit velocity up to 127 in both views, if that is what you are referring to when you say MIDI protocol.

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.
