WIll Sonar 2 bundles and projects open in Sonar X1

looking to up grade from Sonar 2 (the old one), to Sonar X1.
Just want to be absolutely sure that i can open my "2" projects in X1.
 
Is this the case?

    Sonar X1 is no longer available. Unless of course someone has an unopened unregistered version for sale. Sonar can't be resold so you won't be able to register it and after 30 days it will stop working. But yes Sonar is usually backward compatible. Why not open the bundles in Sonar 2?

    Just want to give you a heads up so you don't get caught with a pig in a poke.

    thanks for that. I found a new copy of X1 from what seems to be a legitimate seller here on ebay UK.
    What do you think?
     
    edit: the link to ebay has been removed.  The seller is 28,000 feedbacks at 99.8% so got to be legit, right?

    I would get in touch with Cakewlak sales and ask if you can register it. If it is brand new there shouldn't be a problem. Just send an email to: http://www.cakewalk.com/About/csr.asp
