Wake Up Now
Hi nice forum people Here's a new original song that I wrote and recorded. Backing vocals by the current Mrs Daryl1968 https://soundcloud.com/sk...roductions/wake-up-now Wake Up NowWritten and performed by Daryl Greenway V1There's a world of amazing things beyond The daily grind and what you think you're fond of Take some time to poke your head above The comfort blanket and what you say you love PrechorusThere's hardly time to wipe your tears When you wake up from your slumber after all these years The only way to see the truth, I'm telling you Is to Wake Up Now ChorusOpen your eyes there's lots to see Open them wide and you'll be free Open your mouth there's plenty to say Say it out loud, you'll find a way V2There's a world of amazing things inside Just believe and drop the macho pride. PrechorusChorus ad infinitum

Love it. The sparseness of the mix is pretty genius. The bass that is a percussive little root, like that a lot. Your singing voice is very memorable. You might consider pushing the backing vocal up just a bit, I'd be interested in hearing the harmony loudly stated more than merely suggested. It sounded like an octave harmony, wonder if some different intervals would be an addition - maybe three part ? pretty close to pop perfection. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to re-listen to all my Howard Jones albums! Your effort does not pale by comparison. cheers, -Tom

Brilliant song, catchy, very clever instrumentation-arrangements; nice little surprises going on that makes the song intriguing and irresistible = Genius Minor Criticisms: Not much really, may be give the harmony vocals a tad more presence and balanced L/R. That dirty piano? Ah I guess its okay, a little dirt won't hurt anyone

what a fun tune! dig the open arrangement... i'm not a big POP style fan, but this is well done. i think the background vox is just right in the mix, but i think that having a 2nd harmony, in a few spots, would vary the vocal line enough so that the octave harmonies dont' get too predictable, as they are now. a little hot on the mastering... but overall a great mix.

Sounds great as always, makes me think of Harry Nilson. I think the background vocal is just right and you should add another harmony in spots as Bat said above. I enjoyed the listen.

Hi guys!! Just bought/downloaded Music Creator 7 a couple of days ago :).. And, so I have this question... I hear popping noises every time an instrument hits a note or whenever I play an instrument or the loop.. I would hear snapping or popping sounds for every note hit... Is that normal? Will I hear that when I finally make a song?? Just curious... It's been irritating haha. I keep thinking maybe I should've invested on Fruit loops 11 T.T

Sweet ear candy. Lovely, open production. Vocal sounds effortless. Very nice overall. I think you are using some pitch correction, and I think you should STOP. Otherwise, beautiful.

Staying in the pocket of your British invasion/fun tunes to listen to. I could pick you out of a crowd, musically, and I think that is a good thing. At first I wondered where you would go with this sound but song after song you make it enjoyable. Very nice direction musically. Your lyrics are always good too. I look forward to your songs, Mr. and current Mrs..
