Wall warts

Thought I'd post this for anyone struggling with a preponderance of wall warts, as I've found it to be an excellent solution.:

I had one and recently ordered more to deal with cell phone charges and whatnot.

Six of the 8 outlets can rotate 90 degrees and the other 2 fixed ones are on opposite sides so you can really get up to 8 wall warts on a single power strip, and it has a reasonable length 6 ft. heavy duty cord.

Highly recommended and not terribly expensive (Note that this is one of those items where Amazon's prices seem to change periodically).

Drew, you da man! wallwarts aren't the problem, 6 ways that only fit two wallwarts ARE the problem.

Well enough made and it's UL listed, so I'd say blatant misuse or perhaps a really hot wall wart touching something overly flammable would be my only concerns.

I have had good success with these too. Called squids or octopus cords.

I like the "octopus cord" solution better.  I'm not a Belkin fan and have had problems or failures with several of their units on both my own equipment and on clients systems.

I have short individual "extension" cords from my rack mounted Furman power unit that takes care of "wall warts".  I bought a package of 6 of these at an "on sale" price a couple of years ago.

a thought - if you are handy, or have a friend who is, consider building a rack mount power supply with the appropriate outputs. I've done this a couple of times, and not only does it clean up the spaghetti, it can greatly reduce the noise floor, since wall warts can be quite noisy. An alternative, if you are rich, is the Pedal Power boxes from Voodoo Labs, or similar products from others. If you go that route make sure that the outputs are isolated.
