Was There A Key Moment In John Lennon's Life, Which Transformed Him Into A Spokesperson

https://thedigitalpoet55....-john-lennons-life.pdf
I'm slowly uploading all my work to my digital portfolio, here is my first major academic paper on the topic: Was there a key moment in John Lennon's life, which transformed him into a spokesperson of a generation.  It might be of some interest to Beatle heads.

Maybe it was around the time he thought he was as important as Christ. But he did have to explain himself later on that one!

Have you read that great book on Lennon by Tim Riley.  Looking at your notes I see you may not have. They say it is one of the best books ever written on him. It is long and deep too.

Maybe because he read all those books while he was in his Aunt's house he seemed to become very literate and intelligent as a result. I think once they started getting well known and they were being asked questions by journalists that he just seemed to be the best person to respond to all that as he did so very well on many ocassions.

I will read your paper fully later on Ben but just looking through it looks like you have done a good job on that one.

I have to agree with Jeff, Tim Riley's book on Lennon is the best book I have ever read on Lennon. It really goes deeply into an unbiased look at what made Lennon. Very revealing.

I have also read as many books on McCartney as I have Lennon. Paul was no slouch. He was the only person John ever considered his equal. They just had different core personalities, base on their very different up bringings as children. It's very interesting how so much of their lives and personality is made up from their very early childhoods.

John was always searching for Spiriuality.....the meaning of life......inner peace.

Hi Jeff...thanks, actually not my best effort and I went back today and cleaned it up...the bib is not in alphabetical order or set-out correctly...I did this paper at JMC lol in 2009, man whoever marked the original...let it go ben...let it go, lol.  You've mentioned Tim Riley before and I haven't got around to it yet...books=money...I'm supposedly a fine art digital artist today...well according to Newcastle Uni, where I should be starting in semester a RHD in fine art...lol, I got there in the end.

And actually with your Christ comment...Lennon supposedly had an obsession...just look at his 1969 look...lol

Hi Michael, I've actually read a lot on The Beatles and Lennon and McCartney, since I was 10...aspergers and I'm continually listening to McCartney solo stuff and coming across little gems that I hadn't heard...no slouch!!

    Cheers Guys

Just remember that they were all raised in Liverpool.

Scousers are NEVER shy in saying what's on their mind and coupled with an acerbic wit (and plenty of substance abuse), it's no surprise that John came out with the stuff he did

Agreed Jonesey. Riley's book didn't hold anything back in that regard, it's pretty much all out there.
