Wash Away my Pain

Hello

I don't know what to say.

I have been away so long.

This is my new song.

Sure wish I could meet all of you.

I need to redo the vocals, right?

    Welcome back!

Cool tune, has a Roger Waters vibe, but I think the lyrics are better.

Vocal performance is great, but it does sound as if you put a bath towel over the microphone. The acoustic guitar could be a little muffled sounding as well, but I'll ask, how are you processing those vocals? Got furry plugins on 'em?

The other elements (drums, elec guitar, organ) sound up to the task.

    looking forward to hearing more!

Nice one Jesse.  Glad to see you back on the forum.  Sounds good and the lyrics great and are a nice match with the lyrics.   Are you using a particular Fx on the vocal.  They have an interesting "fuzzy" effect.

Nice track, I wouldn't change anything in respect of arrangement and instrumentation. I will let others more qualified in this style give feedback about the vocals, I personally like the slight muffled tone.

Hey, Jesse, sounds like you got a really good tune there.  Bearing in mind that this is just one guy's opinion, I'm hearing two things you may want to look at.  The vocal sounds kind of muffled at points, and also I was getting some low end rumble listening on my pc speakers.  I wouldn't recommend over-producing this tune, but it could stand a little tightening up.  It's a good one though... nice job.

Personally, I think it's one of your best, Jesse.  The lyrics and overall arrangement are solid, and that's some sweet guitar licks happening!

I do agree with others that the vocal "sound" is a bit odd, and maybe doesn'to blend with the music as well as it could... personal preferences and all, of course.    If it were me, I'd add just a bit of delay and/or reverb for width and to set them back "with the band".
