"Waste Land"

saw another pretty incredible flic last night, called "Waste Land"

it was a sundance flic last year, one i wanted to see, and couldn 't get tickets to........

Waste Land is a 2010 documentary directed by Lucy Walker, João Jardim and Karen Harley. The film documents two years of work of Brazilian contemporary modern artist Vik Muniz in creating art with the cooperation of scavengers of recyclables working at Jardim Gramacho, one of the world's largest landfills, serving the metropolis of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

Received on January 30, 2010 the audience award for best international documentary at Sundance Film Festival.

Received on February 20, 2010 awards from Amnesty International and the public in the Panorama at the Berlin International Film Festival.

On January 25, 2011, received the Academy Award nomination for best feature documentary.
