Watching...

Ok...so I've been asked to come up with a pirate themed song for a game project.

I got to see a few levels in action. It's clear they want a comedy/pirate song. So I pulled out my tuba and my accordian and some timpanis and...couldn't come up with anything.

But messing around (and taking out the tubas and accordians) I came up with this moody little piece that DOES NOT soun like anything remotely piratey. I'll work on that one later.

Thanks and enjoy!

Sounds like something is happening at night. Might be a good background clip for a pirate ship running the waters late at night with some fog coming off of the water. You know, that spooky kind of sailing the seas at full moon.

Yeah, I guess so. Though this group won't be able to use it for anything. It's very clear it's a 3d action/platformer game with lots of humor.

Perhaps I should consider adding a slide whistle here and there?

    Thanks for glistening!

Yeah, I'm with Scary on this one. I think it could work in a more serious kind of game but probably not in the context you're considering. But on the bright side, if anybody asks you to come up with something for a Beowulf-Viking-Nordic-Great Cosmic North kind of thing, you're already done.

You know who I think did the best funny music that also had scary elements was, Vic Mizzy. He did the Adams Family Theme, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, Green Acres, on and on. He was a big inspiration to me when I was younger.

Surprisingly...there's a lot of requests for pirate music where I work. So I'll hold onto it if anyone needs any EPIC pirate music.

I'm trying to come up with something altogether sillier for them.

If you want to see the game in development you can go to...

    Booty Dooty

It's way early, but you can download the PreAlpha build and give em feedback.

    Anyhows...here's to piratey inspiration.

    Um....Arrr.

    Arrrrgh.

    ARRRRRRRGGGHHHH!

    That's better.
