Wav file turns grey and is muted. How do I un mute?

Hi all,
 
I sometimes get wav files that turn grey in the DAW when I record/punch in over old wav files.  How do I get the old grey wav file to be audible again?

    Does highlighting and pressing the mute/unmute keyboard shortcut 'K' work?

    Select the erase tool and hit F10.
    Now you can “fix” the muted clips.

    Hi.
    "K" was going to be my suggestion as well.
    If that doesn't work, try opening take lanes, and see if any of the clips could be muted or locked in a muted state.
