Wave file import question

When I import files for a multi-track session they don't come in at the start of the project. I always have to cut them from way down the time line and paste them at the start. I expect there is a simple answer to this, but it wastes a lot of time.

I'm sure those on this forum are much smarter than I, at this point in my learning curve.

Peace

It might be something else, but the import will insert where your Now time marker is, so make sure it's at the start if that's where you want it.

If "Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp" in Preferences > File > Audio Data is enabled SONAR honors the timestamp embedded in broadcast waves. This may be disabled but it may not be what you want when importing a multi-track session. AFAIK, the setting is either off or on, there is no option to offset the import.

Thanks scook, I'll look into that. Re telecharge, yes I always have the now time at the start.
