Wavelore Pedal Steel Guitar

I picked it up in the big charity sell of that ran last year. I don't think there is any thing else that comes close. I have not come close to realising its full potential as there is a lot to learn and you need to understand how a real steel guitar is played to get the full advantage of such a sophisticated package.

That said even straight out of the box its going to smoke any factory library pedal steel.  Its good for rock too, I have got some useful Steve Howe type sounds by putting it through Amplitube or Guitar Rig.

THe important thing to remember is that you need to learn to play it. You have to get inside the head of a steel player, to think like they think and play like they play, and learn how to emulate that on your midi keyboard.

I saw a demo video on one of those steel VST's and the guy was pretty amazing, and very adept with it.

I got a demo and played with it. I found it difficult to work on my DAW at the time.

As others have said, the keyswitching and controllers are the key to AUTHENTIC sounds, spend time with the manual and playing with it.
Yes think like a steel player because the library thinks like a steel guitar , LOL, AFA neck positions, bends and the like .
